When I started planning our wedding it was all about the details. I spent hours on the web searching through photos and wedding blogs, playing with different color combinations – even going so far as to go to Home Depot and pick out paint chips for ideas -- and looking for inspiration all around me. In the process, I came up with my own “dream board” of wedding ideas that I carried with me over the year + of planning. It was a helpful little tool to “show” what was in my head, especially since I didn’t have two or three main “colors” in the way many brides do. I went with a palette … coastal I guess you could call it, conveyed without using any seashells, sand or other “beach” items. In the end, I have to admit that I enjoyed our wedding day so much, and it ended up turning out to be about the people and the experience more than the details … but oh the joy I had in planning them, and I think they probably did contribute to my overall feeling of happiness with the day.
