BHLDN (pronounced Beholden), the new wedding line from the company that's brought you Anthropoligie and Urban Outfitters launched today with a sea of gowns, dresses, shoes, jewelry, hair adornments and other accessories and lingerie. According to the tres chic site, BHLDN brides fall into one of four categories: Nostalgic Romantic, Neo-Sophisticate, La Bohemienne, or Lady with a Twist.
The looks are completely feminine, fun, flirty, whimsical and beautifully laid out in an advertising campaign, but I’m not sure how many real life brides will be able to pull it off.
Brides who want over-the-top girlish frills will love the cascades of sweeping taffeta on this ball gown

earth loving ladies may swoon for the Eyelet Medley Sheathe
“Ladies with a twist” may go gaga for this layered organza tiered tulip gown, a swarm in butterflies
Honestly, I don’t think I could have pulled off any of these dresses for my wedding last summer, and I’m not sure I would have wanted to try. As much as I love the whimsical, feminine styling’s of Anthropologie clothing (just check my closet!), it’s not the look I chose for my wedding day. If you’re doing a whole vintage wedding you may be able to pull the look off, but any classic bride is going to look back at herself in one of these dresses and see a trend.
Not to give up all hope! Their party / bridesmaids / twirling dresses are fun and flirty, but would be tough on my budget! Limitless funds? I'd add these looks to my closet.
