I've got a major crush ... on Reese Witherspoon's dreamy Ojai abode. But, it's not the first time. I first spotted - and fell in love - with the idyllic retreat when I spotted it in Katheryn M. Ireland's "Creating a Home" (see "Summer Reads" July 2011) when she was the owner .. and I loved it then too! The spread in the September 2012 issue of Elle Decor is a lust-worthy look into R. Witherspoon's decor and homey touch - I love that it combines a little bit classic California Spanish, Swedish, French - and just plain "I want to dive into that sofa" feel... which Reese claims she does (and naps!) regularly when she visits. Who wouldn't?
Love the two-story living room space with jute rug, leather chairs, linen couch and drapes, and tufted sofa. Those lamps flanking the couch are pretty great too.

The detailing on the iron staircase is amazing and I love the nook used for a writing desk. Who wouldn't love to pen a quick note here ... and make someone's day with some "real" mail.
Amazing doors and I love the mix of finishes and chairs. The gold etagere is completely on-trend right now.
Ceiling beams ... mix & match seating. In the article, Reese said she had 20 for Thanksgiving and everyone "needed a place to sit" ... I love it! That's my idea of a holiday.
Not so sure about the antlers ... but love the built-in nook, and all the somewhat masculine textiles.
Another amazing built-in seating nook ... and more great textiles. Love the paint colors (the door!) and especially fabric and style of the chair.
I'll bring the wine! I would love to dine with friends and lose track of time in this lovely outdoor dining space.

We had the chance to visit Ojai when living in LA and it was truly a little Paradise. I'm still dreaming of going back and staying at the Ojai Inn and Spa.
